Mkulima Calculator-- did they win or not?

Mkulima Calculator is an intelligent multi-platform decision support system aimed at optimizing farming practices, curb food insecurity, improve health, increase job opportunities, educate needy children and empower less fortunate. so last year is when the brilliant idea came up and the originator decided to act on it. The participated in Garage48 and later in the year in apps4Africa climate change competition(2011).

There has been a lot written online with regards to whether they were 1st runners up in the competition (which means $7000 dollars as an
award) or it was Mkulima Bora.
Take a minute to Google "But team member William Nguru said they are facing some challenges", include the quote marks also.
All the articles you find with that phrase are the same in content. I'm quoted saying that we're in univ and we cannot work on our apps full time. however this may be true I'm not the one who said it. I was interviewed on my opinion on who won the competition and what was the source of the information.

did they win or not?
However I had a feeling that there's a problem with the competition organization because for the vast amount of contradicting information, it's either there are two competitions with that name or just plain poor organization in the competition.
I have a number of links I have read in reference to that

Conclusion
Media misquotes to suite their article #Thatisall

PS:
M-cal needs support to win a yet bigger competition on dell social challenge. Your votes => highly appreciated by all of mcalc.

an all HUAWEI day

Been to HUAWEI today, darnn, I never thought HUAWEI is such real and awesome... I know NOKIA and SAMSUNG as the predominant phone brands. The only HUAWEI i know of is the IDEOS which is sold at a very low price(I wonder who makes a bigger profit between the retailers and HUAWEI). So I was led(by my thoughts) into believing that they're the two top-dogs(NOKLA and SAMSANG) in telecommunications and HUAWEI is a nonstarter here..... shock on me, and on you too somehow.. HUAWEI is a major manufacturer of BTS's, BSC's, MSC's, HLR's and more of that jargon stuff for telecoms. Very expensive by the way I even think the IDEOS was a way of giving back to society. The aim of the visit was friendly and it's supposed to enhance our relationships ahead a grand coalition we're forming soon. Expect to hear more soon. (hint: HANA certification coming to strath) We had alot to learn on the GSM, EDGE, GPRS and 3G network architecture in transmission, data access, and routing within the networks.

Back at school they were having a field marketing day... They're bringing in more phones into the market. My view about these new phones; Value for money!
The first one that grabbed my attention was the HUAWEI Mediapad Tablet, This is the reason I said RIP to my S7 slim.
see for yourself here -

Another phone we expect to see soon is the HUAWEI U8850 VISION also very fine looking. You can agree it compares with the Galaxy front runners yet at a fraction of the price(I really hope). Clear display and runs on android 2.3.6.... feel the freshness on the video below!

Blog reclamation?- not again

Having abandoned my blog for a while I've lost touch of blogging and related issues for a while. Been watching football; and an Arsenal fan guess you know the frustrations. Yes i'm back on the scene again. I need to pick up from where i left. First of all maybe i should start by wishing everyone a happy new year officially. I mean, it was in another year that i last blogged, and to call yourself a blogger, taking a year to update your blog is real kleeeh! should not even be measured by the rest. But here i am again. I don't even know if there's anyone who's been here ever since, except google bots and so in counting hits for my blog i shouldn't lie to myself that people were feeding on past material.

I wish to reclaim my blog again. But this time with less assurance that i'll make mob posts. A lot has been happening and new responsibilities won't even let me spellcherk my post. Anyway Lemme cut this post short. It's just meant to say that i'll be back soon.
My kind of blogging, opinion on current issues and fore sights on the same. News....naaah! go read BBC
bye
